Jo M. made this pretty Redwork quilt. Its a large quilt with many flower blocks. The quilting design is Vine B2B, with white thread & White Hobbs 80/20 batting. She paired this top with a Stonehenge backing.

Here is another pretty Dresden plate quilt made by Pam P. She chose Brittney B2B allover design with white thread & Hobbs 80/20 white batting. The backing is white Minky. I’m not a fan of quilting Minky backings but fortunately this was a high quality one and turned out very nice.
This is Maryann’s Just Can’t Cut it quilt. Its a really large quilt at 117″ x 117″. She is an expert at sewing a 1/4″ border just before the last border, something most of us would not attempt but she can do accurately and beautifully.
The quilting design is Vendela B2B an Ann Bright design. The batting is Hobbs 80/20. The last photo is the pieced backing.
Here’s something new coming up by Coleen Merte called 9 Squared. I’ll let you all know when it comes out officially. The quilting design is Spiral Maze, Plum thread & Legacy batting.
My Favorite Monday…..Heres a look back at one of my favorite quilts and quilt designs.
Here are some photos of Marlene’s giant pinwheel quilt. This is a good sized quilt, 94 x 115, a nice Queen bed size quilt with a pillow tuck. The quilting design is Two Simple by Crystal Smythe. The thread is blue & the batting is Hobbs 80/20. The backing is a Southwest print. This is the first time I’ve quilted this design & I am really happy with the way it quilted up.
Here are a couple photos of Pat’s Bug Jar quilt. The quilting design is Dragonflies, neon green thread & she provided a batting (similar to Hobbs 80/20).
This quilt pattern is Island Nights. The quilt design is Water by Christy Dillon, bright yellow thread & Hobbs 80/20 batting.
This is one of Beth’s two twin Chinese Coin quilts. The other is identical so I’m posting one set of pics. The quilting design is Spring Loaded, the batting is Legacy and she chose a green thread to match.
The pieced backing was too pretty to not share.
Connie’s Corners Quilt is a beauty! A lot of work, a lot of love & a lot of piecing went into this quilt. Connie chose Silver Blue thread, Quilters Dream Select Batting and Paisley Cypress allover design.
Here are some photos of Donna’s quilt. This is the first one. The second is still being quilted. Design is Petra, Grey thread & Hobbs 80/20 batting. The last photo is the cool pieced back side of the quilt. These quilts look even better in person.
Every once in a while when I’m trying to get a quilt finished and delivered, I forget to take a photo of the quilt. That’s what happened with MaryAnn’s quilt. It was beautiful and I have another to quilt for her so I”ll try to remember to photo the next one
Here is a photo of Donna’s quilt that is stitching right now. The quilting design is called Petra. She has a pair of twin quilts that are identical. I think this design is looking great on it. The thread is charcoal grey, and the batting is Hobbs 80/20.
On the Homefront, it is cold, 18 F, but sunny today. I’ve been battling a sinus infection. I thought I was winning the battle but it’s turning ugly on me. I might need a little help after all darn it. I’ve been lucky this year & no colds or flu so far. Knock on wood, or as my Aunt Thelma used to say, “you can knock on wood but I’m going to thank God”. She’s was a kind spirit that is missed.
Here is something I worked on Sat. It’s a mystery with an online group of Canadian quilters called Strip Sensation Satellite Mystery Quilt. The steps were given over FB live video. It was fun & I have maybe half of it completed. I need to decide which block layout to put together. Here are the two possibilities so far. I still have some cutting and piecing to do. It was a lot of fun. The Canadian Quilt Militia is a really fun group to play with.
