This is an easy way to add sashing to a quilt block and have them all line up without all the marking and sewing of long sections. Jenny Doan does a nice, longer, video on how to make the Falling Charms quilt but I like this quick illustration.
When adding sashing just keep adding to the same sides (left and bottom) of the quilt block (if directional), then you only need to add a strip to the top and side to finish. I swear this is soooo much easier and there is less stretching and weight on the fabrics. Just try it!
