Part of my slow down plan involves selling one of my Longarm quilting machines. I’ve decided to let go of one of my quilting machines. I purchased the Gammill Classic Conventional Quilting Machine with 12′ table in 2013 for doing edge to edge quilting.
It’s a 1998 non-stitch regulated machine that was not used until 2013. This is an industrial machine that has a whole life ahead of it. The original owner who was in a car accident and unable to use it shortly after purchase. I took it to Accomplish Quilting and had it serviced and they confirmed that it had not been used for more than 1 -2 quilts.
In 2014 I added a Intelliquilter BasiQ computer to the machine. This is a computer that does pantograph/edge to edge quilt designs. The software can be easily upgraded with full custom features for $1,500. You can read more about Intelliquilter BasiQ at Intelliquilter. The BasiQ is already equipped with a collection of designs.
I will include some thread, bobbins, needles, machine oil, bobbin case, ruler plate, laser light, long ruler, Black light bulb and side clamps.
After market items added include new canvas leaders with zippers and Edge Rider Wheels. I also have leader grips added for easily attaching quilts on and off the machine without pins.
The table is easy to break down, move and set up.
This machine is a $16,000 value I’m offering for $13,000. This is a great machine. I’ll miss it when it’s gone but I no longer need 2 quilting machines since I’m retiring from customer quilting. You could have a quality computerized machine for less than the cost of a new longarm before adding a computer. These are industrial machines that are work horses and need very little care.
Linda T has a nice video on oiling and maintenance of her Gammill Maintenance Video There are also many other maintenance videos out there by Gammill and other longarm quilters that are a great source of info.
