This is one of Martha’s Geese in the Storm quilts. It is custom quilted to go around the folded flying geese. I used a matching thread & Hobbs 80/20 batting.
A flower design was placed in the background of the center block of geese and in the outer setting triangles. The rest of the geese were stippled in the background.

Here are some photos of Kathy’s recent quilts. The first is called Riptide. The quilting design is Popcorn by Jodi Beamish, copper thread & Fairfield 60/40 batting.

The second quilt is a fast stripy type quilt Picket Fence. Quilting design is called Big & Little by Karen Farnsworth, Hobbs 80/20 batting, White thread with a cute bubble print backing.

Enjoy the day!
This is a very bright and colorful quilt Maryann made for her bedroom. Its a really good sized bed quilt. I didn’t have room to lay it out so you get to see the center & some close ups of the front and back while its draped on my cutting table. The quilting design is Plain Paisley by Lorien Quilting. The batting is Warm & White & the thread is purple. She found a great backing that brings all the colors of the quilt together.

I am in a small sewing group which gets together once a month & we do show and tell, work on hand work, eat some snacks and share our thought about quilts we are working on. We are embarking on a new group project, a Round Robin. Each of us will provide a center block and pass it around our group for each member to add to it in some way. It could be an border, appliqué, beading etc. I just finished up my center block & will share.
I found this block in a book, The Practical Guide to Patchwork by Elizabeth Hartman. The quilt is called Little Leaves. I chose fabric by Zen Chic called Juggling Summer. I won’t see this again until its finished & that might be a year from now. In the meanwhile, I will see everyone else at different stages of their development. I’ve been in two other round robins & had a lot of fun.

This is Marthas Fountain Pen quilt. I love the fabrics in this quilt. The bunny print is adorable. The quilting design is Retro Lines by Kristen Hoftyzer. The thread is taupe and batting is Hobbs 80/20. The backing is pieced with black on the sides.

Barb’s pretty batik quilt. The quilting design is Angel hearts by Dusty Farrell. Thread is dark blue & batting is Quilters Dream 70/30. The 70/30 is a nice batting that feels slightly thicker than the QD 80/20 select. Its more comparable in weight to Warm and Natural.

Bev pieced this pretty quilt. I do not know the pattern name. The design is PS I Love You by Lisa Calle. The batting is Pellon, the thread a dark blue. She used a very pretty wide multi colored wide backing. Her quilt top was nice & flat such a pleasure to quilt.

Here is another version of Hello Mr Bear pattern pieced by Martha. The pattern by Aniko & available for sale at her website on my links on the right of the screen.
The quilting is custom, thread is a copper color. The batting, with a little poof, is poly-down by Hobbs. Still to be finished are the eyes & lips. The backing fabric is a soft flannel. If you look closely you can see that they bear’s ears and collar are 3D (not sewn down).

MaryAnn made this cute baby quilt with a soft Minky back. The quilting design is Who is in the Woods by Ann Bright. The thread is yellow & batting is Hobbs 80/20.
