Duck, Duck, Duck…..goose!
Isn’t this a cute baby quilt? Cathy Labrie whipped this up and picked a cute new design called Playful E2E, which looks like water in motion. The thread is white & she provided the batting (Hobbs 80/20 like ??) The backing is really cute too.
***I’m still finishing up some client work. There is more of it, so you’ll still be seeing some posts of quilts pieced by others***

Blue Riptide Quilt
Maryann makes some lovely quilts for friends. This is a good sized baby quilt with a navy Minkie backing. I can’t get the color to show up correctly but the backing is beautiful. The quilting design is Blustery Day, blue/silver thread, & White Hobbs 80/20 batting. It’s really soft!!

Blue Floral Quilt
Another quilt by Judy, pretty blue florals. The quilting design is Hawthorne E2E 2, white Hobbs 80/20 batting & blue thread.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish
Judy made a fun fish throw. The quilting design is Simple Swirling Water, teal blue thread & white Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Dachshunds
These are Penny’s Dachshunds made into a cute table runner. Simple paw prints in the center and some outlining the dogs. She may embellish them a bit more and bind. This will look really cute on a table.

Quilting Referral
I want to post a referral for those looking for a new quilter. Crystal Smythe quilts beautifully and has been a trusted quilter for so many. She began Longarm quilting right before I did. I would trust my quilts with Crystal. She offers a drop off service at Bit’s and Pieces quilt shop. You don’t have to make an appointment, just go when you are ready.
You can read more about Crystal at her business link Longarm Lyrics. She offers a similar price structure, both allover and custom quilting. She has several machines and a quick and reasonable turnaround time.
Her son also works with her and she has taught him well. She’s is a teacher of IntelliQuilter and someone I contact when I have questions. She also owns a digitizing software business so she has a huge number of designs available.
Yes this might be a longer drive for many but it’s worth doing because she will take good care of your quilts and has a great read on design and how to deal with issues that come up with piecing. Besides you love to drive to see new quilt shops so if you haven’t been to Bit’s and Pieces it’s another shop to check out.
***Please, don’t take the quilts you’ve worked so hard on to a company that has a revolving door of inexperienced quilters just for a fast turn around!!!
You put a lot of time and money into your quilt so don’t settle for cheap work when you can get great work from an experienced quilter like Crystal.
Take 5 on point
Shirley made this pretty Take 5 quilt. The quilting design is Wrought Iron. You have to look closely to see the design. The pretty prints make it hard to photo but the texture does show up well. The thread is brown & the batting is Hobbs 80/20. Nice quilt!

BQ3 Quilt
Shirley made this BQ3 quilt out of cool modern prints. The quilting design is Window Pane, black thread & Hobbs 80/20 batting. The backing fabric is triangle print. It’s hard to see the black thread on the back but in person the texture show nicely.

Box Trot Quilt
MaryAnn made this quilt from the pattern Box Trot. Its a extra large quilt so I’m just taking a few snaps of it. The quilting design is Festival E2E, Pink thread & Hobbs 80/20 batting. Beautiful colors!!

This is the back of her quilt with a flower fabric in the center. This quilt is 116″ x 122″, made for a larger elevated bed.
