Here is one of my grandmothers quilt blocks before I remade it. It actually has an extra strip on on side that with it removed makes the cream center properly. I trimmed and pressed each piece then sewed them back together using a scant 1/4″ seam. I’m pretty happy with how this block looks now. I’ll continue on this project and should end up with enough extra strips to maybe make additional blocks. I think this is well worth doing. I plan to add a cream sashing between the blocks.
